Description
Ignite was originally composed by ear for the Broomates Saxophone Quartet, an AATB performing ensemble based in Oregon around the Portland-Metro area. A crowd favorite, this work highlighted the group’s strengths in improvisation and ornamentation. Taking the approach of a jazz combo, every performance was unique with regard to solos and the form of the piece. This particular performance was the last time the original ensemble performed the piece.
